Luxurious Maui Picnic Elopement

A COMPLETE CONNECTION

Kelsey and Curt chose a luxurious Maui picnic elopement on a beautiful private Hawaiian estate to tie the knot. The two met in Ocean City, Maryland- where Kelsey is from, during the summer of 2009 and started dating by the end of July. Because of their natural, effortless, and comfortable connection, they knew early on that this was it. They were long-distance for a short time while they finished college and would write handwritten letters to each other in-between visits. Kelsey still has all the letters from Curt! They bounced between Pennsylvania- where Curt is from, and Maryland, when the seasons changed for a few years until a visit to Maui turned into a move there in 2014.

TALES OF THE HEART

Curt proposed in Rocky Mountain National Park on October 1^st, 2022. Next, they planned the most intimate elopement within two months! Eloping allowed them to be focused on one another. They witnessed the unfolding of the most vulnerable, open parts of their being as they expressed one another’s love and gratitude for this life, this relationship, and this moment. Kelsey and Curt fell in love for many reasons, like how they always make each other laugh and can turn any situation into humor. They love to travel to see new places and create memories! Kelsey taught Curt how to surf, and he taught Kelsey how to snowboard. Every year they plan a surf trip and a trip to the mountains to enjoy their favorite hobbies. In addition, they enjoy hiking, camping, and visiting National Parks.

PICTURE PERFECT MAUI PICNIC ELOPEMENT

Kelsey and Curt had a dreamy elopement thanks to the beautiful collaboration between Maui Lux Picnics and Petaloom Floral Co. They arrived separately at the estate, and we began with their “first look.” I always vote for having a “first look” because it’s the perfect opportunity for clients to have an intimate moment before saying, “I do!” Their ceremony took place on a cliff landing with a stunning view of the ocean in the backdrop. I had chills the entire time, one of the most magical places and moments that I’ve had the opportunity to capture. We took some bride and groom portraits and made our way up to the estate grounds where the picnic was set up. They celebrated with a delectable charcuterie board, cake, and champagne! They shared an intimate dance accompanied by music by Sunny Kalama, relaxed, and took polaroid pictures that they get to keep forever. This was an elopement to remember, and I’m so excited to watch their love flourish.
